The Department of Health in Kilifi, in collaboration with USAID Uongozi Wa Afya Thabiti (UAT), convened a meeting today to deliberate on and establish health accountability systems and frameworks at various levels including county, sub-county, facility, and community.
The primary objective of this gathering was to raise awareness among members of the County Health Management Team (CHMT) regarding the guidelines for policy development and monitoring, as well as to assess the implementation progress of UAT activities.
During the meeting, the participants engaged in discussions pertaining to health accountability systems, delineated appropriate structures, identified existing gaps and challenges, formulated strategies, fostered collaboration, and set goals and objectives aimed at enhancing health accountability across all levels.
