The Kilifi Department of Health established its strategic plan in July 2018, setting out a plan for activities and priorities over five years (2018-2022). As the plan nears its end, it is crucial to conduct a thorough review to assess progress, hurdles faced, and lessons learned, while identifying areas for enhancement and upcoming priorities.
To facilitate this review process, the department arranged a workshop for the strategic plan secretariat. The main objective of the workshop was to evaluate the implementation of the current strategic plan and develop suggestions for shaping the next phase. By reflecting on past experiences and exploring future opportunities, the department aims to enhance healthcare services for the future period.
Through collaborative analysis and strategic planning, this review workshop will lay the groundwork for informed decision-making, ensuring that the next strategic plan meets the changing needs and ultimately leads to improved health outcomes for our community.
