The Department of Health organized a meeting with Health Facility In-Charges from Kilifi North, with a focus on enhancing service delivery and quality improvement. A key agenda item was tackling the issue of low hemoglobin levels among pregnant women, which is a critical concern in the community. Stakeholders engaged in discussions to identify the root causes and consequences of this issue.
The importance of collaborative efforts among health facilities, community health workers, and local authorities was emphasized to address the complex nature of hemoglobin issues. Community education and awareness campaigns were highlighted as essential for promoting proper nutrition, hygiene practices, and disease prevention strategies.
Furthermore, successful programs were acknowledged, and experiences and challenges from different facilities were thoroughly discussed during interactive plenary sessions.
The meeting marked a significant advancement in addressing facility-related issues and setting a course for improvement. By working together, fostering innovation, and sharing a dedication to public health, stakeholders are in a position to make meaningful progress in enhancing the well-being and quality of life for all residents of the county.
