The Kilifi County Department of Health, in conjunction with USAID Stawisha Pwani, conducted a three-day conference to deliberate on the significance of The Kenya Public-Private Collaboration Strategy in enhancing healthcare services in the county.
Given that Kenya’s Health Policy prioritizes collaborative approaches for Universal Health Coverage (UHC), the strategy is designed to enhance effectiveness and capitalize on the strengths of both sectors.
The conference aimed to enlighten stakeholders, explore possibilities for partnerships, and emphasize the dedication to efficient collaboration for accessible healthcare. Key discussions included the implications of the strategy, potential partnerships, identification of stakeholders, opportunities within the county, and action plans.
Looking ahead, the appeal for continued collaboration is directed towards ensuring equal healthcare for all residents of Kilifi.
