The longstanding collaboration between Kilifi County and Aga Khan University has greatly benefited the community in various areas, including youth, sports, gender, health, education, research, and training.
Today, We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding regarding research and training, which further strengthens our partnership and commitment to jointly work on initiatives that will have a positive impact on our community.
One of my top priorities is quality healthcare, and we had in-depth discussions about opportunities for our doctors to receive training and capacity building. This is crucial to ensure that our medical facilities are staffed with qualified individuals who can provide excellent care to our patients. The discussions were led by Professor Marleen Temmerman, Director of the Center of Excellence in Women and Child Health EA, and Professor Salim Virani, Vice Provost Research.
Under my administration, we have been actively working to improve the health sector by streamlining processes and ensuring that our staff and medical centers are equipped to deliver high-quality healthcare to our people.
