Today, the National Nurses and Midwives Week came to a close with a lively ceremony at the Kilifi County Referral Hospital, bringing together nurses from various sub-counties, as well as members of the National Nurses Association of Kenya (NNAK) and the Kilifi Department of Health. The event was a reflection of gratitude and recognition for the important work that nurses do in our communities.
Recognizing nurses during this week helps to raise awareness about their roles in society: their dedication, compassion, expertise, advocacy for patients, resilience in challenging situations, and their significant impact on addressing health issues and humanitarian needs.
