The annual Kenya Sanitation Week (KSW) aims to generate public awareness and promote momentum in the field of sanitation and hygiene. This year’s KSW event is the third one since its inception in 2021.
Today, the Department of Health and Sanitation Services, together with WASH stakeholders, officially launched the 2023 edition of KSW in Malindi Sub-County. This launch signifies the beginning of a series of sanitation and hygiene initiatives scheduled to take place until Sunday, November 19th. The week will culminate in the hosting of the National World Toilet Day event by the County.
The main purpose of this launch was to initiate the planned activities for the week and set the tone for the upcoming events.
