The Department of Health, in partnership with the Fred Hollows Foundation, is making preparations for eye health services activities scheduled for June 2024. This initiative includes a screening camp for eye conditions and cataract surgeries for the less fortunate individuals.
To ensure the smooth delivery of these services, the partnership has convened to discuss various aspects such as coordination and logistics planning, resource allocation, public awareness and outreach, patient screening and selection criteria, and monitoring and evaluation, among other important considerations.
This collaborative effort signifies a significant advancement towards improving eye health outcomes in the community and striving to decrease avoidable blindness.
