Importance of Immunization
1. Prevention of Infectious Diseases:
Vaccination prevents the spread of infectious diseases such as measles, polio, tuberculosis, and influenza, which are prevalent in some regions. By immunizing the population, Our County can significantly reduce the incidence of these diseases, preventing outbreaks and saving lives.
2. Protection of Vulnerable Populations:
Children, the elderly, and individuals with weakened immune systems are particularly vulnerable to infectious diseases. Vaccination programs in this County ensure that these groups are protected, reducing the risk of severe illness, disability, and death.
3. Community Immunity (Herd Immunity):
When a large portion of the community is immunized, it creates a protective barrier, making it difficult for diseases to spread. This is especially important our county, where access to healthcare can be limited in remote areas. Herd immunity helps protect those who cannot be vaccinated, such as infants or individuals with certain medical conditions.
