The Department of Health Kilifi County, in collaboration with the Kenya Red Cross Society, implemented the “Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) in Emergency Crisis” project. This initiative aims to improve access to prevention, care, and support for non-communicable diseases (Diabetes and Cardiovascular Diseases) for people living with NCDs in disaster-prone sub-counties.
This project is crucial for safeguarding the health and well-being of individuals with NCDs, through enhanced access to care, disease prevention, preparedness, community resilience, integrated health services and ensuring they receive the necessary care and support even in the face of emergencies.
