Through the iCARE initiative, we have joined forces with Novo Nordisk, Medtronic Labs, and Changing Diabetes in Children (CDiC) to support the management of individuals in Kilifi County.

Today, representatives from Novo Nordisk and Medtronic Labs met with the Department of Health to assess the progress and challenges of the program and devise strategies for preventing and controlling non-communicable diseases.

These strategies encompass various actions such as providing affordable or free insulin to children and adolescents suffering from type 1 diabetes, improving the capabilities of healthcare providers, strengthening health promotion and education, enhancing digital platforms for non-communicable diseases, as well as fostering partnerships.

We remain unwavering in our dedication to providing affordable and easily accessible healthcare to all residents of Kilifi County, and we would like to express our gratitude to our valued stakeholders.
