I have been officially registered by the Kilifi Department of Health and Sanitation Services as a resident within the county to receive Mosquito Nets, with distribution scheduled to commence on May 1, 2024.
The Department of Health has conducted Digital Household Registration for Mass Mosquito Net distribution over the past five days, covering all seven Sub-Counties and targeting 302,636 households. More than one million nets will be distributed to households within the region.
To be registered, individuals only require a mobile phone number (any line) and a valid Identification Card (ID), which will be captured through an electronic device.
Currently, our Community Health Promoters (CHP) and village elders are actively registering residents in various villages, and the progress of the exercise has been positive and promising.
I urge communities to participate in the registration process and receive these nets to help combat the spread of malaria and other mosquito-related illnesses.
